We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Registered Nurses to join our team and contribute to our mission of promoting the well-being and comfort of our residents.
Job Summary: As a Floor Nurse at Rogers Health and Rehab, you will play a critical role in delivering healthcare services to our long-term care residents. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive nursing care, monitor resident health, administer medications, and ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our residents. Your expertise, compassion, and commitment to excellence will contribute to our residents' overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents, including but not limited to medication administration, wound care, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health conditions and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and according to established protocols. Monitor residents for any adverse reactions and report any issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including resident assessments, care plans, and medication administration records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with registered nurses (RNs), physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and treatment coordination.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on residents' conditions and address any concerns or questions.
- Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols, maintain a safe and clean environment, and promote resident safety.
- Education: Provide health education to residents and their families, as needed, to promote wellness and prevent illness.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Professional Development: Stay current with developments in nursing practice and participate in ongoing training and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Current state LPN or RN license.
- CPR certification.
- Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing quality care to residents.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $29.50 per hour
