The Treatment Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing treatment plans for residents with various wounds and other medical conditions. This role involves close collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and improve residents' quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Wound Care Management:
- Assess residents' skin integrity and identify any wounds or potential for skin breakdown.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for wound care, including dressing changes and monitoring healing progress.
- Utilize various wound care techniques and products based on wound type and stage.
Medication and Treatment Administration:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor residents for adverse reactions and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate records of all treatments and medications administered.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to resident care.
- Educate residents and families about wound care and prevention strategies.
- Participate in care plan meetings and provide input on residents' treatment plans.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Document all care provided in residents' medical records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and other safety guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care.
Resident Advocacy:
- Advocate for residents' needs and preferences regarding their treatment and care.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families during treatment processes.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
