OVERVIEW
The primary mission of the Automotive Express Service Advisor is to ensure that our customers are driving safe and reliable vehicles. The Automotive Express Service Advisor initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and service requested. Verifies warranty and service contract coverage, performs walk around inspections, develops estimates, writes repair orders, and maintains customer rapport and records. A successful candidate for the Automotive Express Service Advisor position will have auto dealership or customer service experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner.
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index rating.
- Set and maintain all customer service procedures and policies.
- Record, organize and file customer interactions and profile/account changes. Document customer service discussions and actions.
- Ensure all open repair orders or work in process be kept up to date and closed within 30 days.
- Ensure that all documents are accounted for and are provided on the repair orders.
- Accomplish the forecast that has been established by the general manager and service manager.
- Schedule appointments with customers.
- Provide resources for quality customer service.
- Make every effort to ensure that technicians completely repair all vehicles on the first visit.
- Maintain follow-up on additional items found in need of repair.
- Meeting Service and client satisfaction goals.
- Maintain a professional workspace and workflow.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid Driver’s License.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Two years of experience in a dealership position.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The Automotive Express Service Advisor works in the service area, which is in an open area of the showroom. Position requires stooping, bending and moving throughout the service department. Works with service customers for most of the shift. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Road-testing of vehicles also may be required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily.
