The MEP Coordinator is responsible for providing construction support for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This role oversees the balancing, commissioning, and validation certification of these systems, while assisting superintendents and project managers in resolving technical and operational challenges. The MEP Coordinator is actively involved throughout both the preconstruction and construction phases. Additional responsibilities include managing coordination between the owner and architect, as well as overseeing planning and installation of HVAC, controls, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection systems. The goal is to ensure that customer, architect, and subcontractor expectations are not only met, but exceeded.

- Lead project coordination, design assistance, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems in mission-critical sectors such as:
- Healthcare
- Telecommunications
- Data Centers
- Other high-performance infrastructure projects
- Provide design assistance, planning, and quality control oversight.
- Manage and oversee the commissioning process.
- Ensure compliance with Rogers-O'Brien Construction policies, procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Divisions 2 through 33 scopes of work.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Review and expedite submittals and approvals to support timely project delivery.
- Support project managers and superintendents in planning, organizing, and supervising MEP trade work.
- Lead internal training programs related to MEP systems and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field with an emphasis in HVAC (preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proven experience in MEP coordination, design assistance, and commissioning management.
- Background in mission-critical sectors such as healthcare, telecommunications, and data centers.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Familiarity with Division 2–33 scopes of work.
- Ability to effectively manage owner, architect, and subcontractor coordination.
- Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
- Capable of creating and managing project tracking spreadsheets and documentation
