Position Purpose: Responsible for providing construction support for MEP systems and will oversee the balancing, commissioning and validation certification of these systems. Help superintendents and project managers resolve technical and operational problems with MEP systems. Full involvement in the entire preconstruction and construction process. Manage the owner-architect interface and planning and installation for HVAC, controls, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection design/construction coordination. Help ensure customer, architect, and subcontractor expectations are exceeded.e

- Demonstrated experience in leading project coordination, design assistance, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems in key sectors, such as:
- Healthcare
- Telecommunications
- Data centers or other mission-critical environments
- Exhibit strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Provide expertise in design assistance, planning, and quality control.
- Manage commissioning activities for MEP systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to Rogers-O'Brien Construction policies, safety plans, and all applicable regulatory standards.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Division 2-33 scopes of work.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships with owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Review and expedite submittals and approvals to meet project timelines.
- Assist project managers and superintendents in planning, organizing, and supervising MEP trade work.
- Conduct in-house training programs on MEP systems to enhance team expertise.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Construction with a focus on HVAC systems.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet tools, and basic computer applications for tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software.
- Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
