Position Summary:
The Head Women’s Golf Coach is responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the golf program. The Head Women’s Golf Coach is expected to adhere to the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics.

Primary Duties:
- Develop practice and competition strategies which will allow the team to be successful.
- Ensure an atmosphere of compliance with all institutional, conference, and national association rules and regulations.
- Provide instruction, motivation and support of all student-athletes and administer all aspects of the program including recruiting, coaching, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing/promotion of the program.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics or the President of the University.
Secondary Duties:
- Abide by all institutional, NCAA and MIAA Conference rules and regulations.
- Develop and adhere to an annual budget for the golf program, participate in public relations activities, speaking engagements, and interviews.
- Support and participate in fundraising initiatives for the Department of Athletics under the direction of the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Develop a competitive schedule and coordinate travel details for road contests.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and extensive knowledge of the sport of golf with a demonstrated ability to teach the game.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and previous NCAA coaching experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to recruit quality student athletes who can excel in both athletics and academics.
- A demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a golf program and athletic department.
- A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks which have been assigned.
Reports to: Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics
Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends as needed.
Position: Full-time/Exempt

Health Insurance: (Full-time employees) RSU provides comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans. The medical premium for the employee is paid 100%. Dental and vision are available for reasonable, competitive premium rates. For employees that provide proof of alternative medical insurance, the premium is then added to the employee's paycheck (applicable taxes apply).
Life Insurance: RSU provides life insurance for all full-time employees at two times their annual salary. Employee's coverage is effective the month hired if they start on the 1st of the month. If hired afte the first day of the month, coverage will be effective the 1st day of the following month.
Long-Term Disability: RSU provides coverage after 6 months of employment. Employee benefit is 60% replacement of income after a 6 month disability waiting period.
Short-term Disability: Optional benefit available at employee cost. Employee is eligible the first day of the month following the month of hire.
Oklahoma Teacher's Retirement System (OTRS): Employees are eligible to participate in OTRS, a state retirement plan that pays dividends to employee once vested, when they retire from employment.
Voluntary Retirement Savings Plan: Employees who would like to contribute to their retirement may do so through 403(b) or 457(b) plans with Fidelity Investments.
Employee Assistance Program (EPA): The EAP is for all full-time employees. The EAP is available to employees even if they decline the health coverage. Services provided include counseling & support services, stress management services, referrals for child care and elder care, adoption resources and services, financial services, and work-life services.

Annual Leave (STAFF ONLY) - Accrual begins the 1st day of the month following the month the employee is hired.
0-5 years of service - 10 hours per month (maximum accumulation of 30 days)
6-20 years of service - 12 hours per month (maximum accumulation of 45 days)
Over 20 years of service - 13.33 hours per month (maximum accumulation of 60 days)
Sick Leave - Accrual begins the 1st day of the month following the month the employee is hired.
10 hours per month - Maximum accrual 130 days
Personal Leave - Granted after 6 months of employment - 3 days of personal leave. Does not carry over to next fiscal year.
