TITLE: Dietary Aide
SUPERVISOR: Chef Manager
FSLA Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Dietary Aide is to assist in providing nutritious, delicious, and enjoyable meals to its residents.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments.
- Numerical ability to prepare and measure cleaning agents and chemicals.
- Manual dexterity for the preparation of food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes, operating dietary equipment and cleaning work area.
- Availability to work weekends
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting beverages, plating, portioning desserts, paying close attention to diets
- Help the chef in the preparation and service of meals.
- Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
- Assist in serving meals.
- Setting up the dining room and serving residents.
- Wash cooking utensils and store them properly between dishes.
- Reporting procedures for supplies, equipment needs, food receiving and storage.
- Interact with the residents in a professional and courteous manner
- Follow sanitary guidelines
- Attend in-service educational programs.
- Follow defined safety and Infection Control codes while performing all duties.
