Position Summary |
The Program Support Specialist I provides comprehensive administrative, logistical, and collaborative support to the Apprenticeship Department and all associated apprenticeship programs. This role engages with a diverse student population and a broad range of college staff, ensuring efficient, professional, and courteous customer service at all levels. The position plays a critical role in supporting day-to-day program operations and fostering relationships with students and employers to uphold the objectives of RCC’s Apprenticeship programs. Responsibilities span the full apprenticeship lifecycle—from student recruitment and training to program completion and sustainable employment outcomes. This role handles sensitive and confidential communications related to apprentices and training agents, liaising with regulatory bodies such as the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI), Oregon State Apprenticeship and Training Council (OSATC), and the Building Codes Division (BCD), in addition to corresponding with individual committee members. Additionally, the position provides on-site support at the Table Rock Campus (TRC), assisting students with their transition into the apprenticeship programs and contributing to services that promote student development and academic success. |

This is a Full-time Classified, 40 hour per week (100%) position in the Apprenticeship department. Starting compensation is entry level for Group 5 on the 2024-25 Classified Wage Schedule.
Position is fixed term/grant funded through 6/30/2026, renewed annually, with continuation dependent upon funding. Fixed term/grant funded positions do not accrue seniority.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness
Rogue Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan.
