Role
To enthusiastically cultivate and improve professional growth and job proficiency of employees through the development and application of dynamic and learner-centric training consistent with Rogue Credit Union's organizational priorities.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
50% Presents engaging training and development programs by identifying learning objectives and selecting instructional methodologies and mediums. Creates high-quality in-person and online training content that enhances and ignites employee engagement and fosters employees’ technical and soft skill development.
15% Proactively creates, updates, and maintains training materials as needed. Evaluates training effectiveness; adjusting as necessary for efficacy and procedural changes. Creatively seeks solutions to improve and address training needs.
10% Provides coaching, general support, and evaluates trainees' performance during the training program. Tracks trainees’ progress through evaluations, assessments, observations, and supervisor feedback. Maintains training records in the Learning Management System.
5% Collaborates with a variety of subject matter experts and key stakeholders to identify training needs, content, and content updates. Ensures training content is consistent with Rogue’s Vision, Mission, Values, and Service Promises.
5% Coordinates projects, collaborates to achieve individual and team goals and completes additional related assignments. Participates in professional development opportunities to identify new or improved training methods.
5% Positively embraces and leads to organizational change. Actively learns new organizational procedures related to content specialization. Participates on various committees as procedures and processes are developed and created.
5% Maintains an understanding of Credit Union products, services, guidelines, and procedures. Provides branch or call center backup to keep experience current.
5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Knowledge And Skills
Experience: Two to five years same or related experience. Prior Rogue Credit Union Teller and MSR experience preferred.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell "ideas" and procedures to learners.
Other Skills: Excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to operate business equipment. Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills. Accurate cash-handling skills and ability to promote/suggest credit union products and services. A keen eye for detail/quality. Sound judgment and decision-making capacity with the ability to self-direct day-to-day tasks within specified timelines. Strong work ethic and resourcefulness. Professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent member service skills. Excellent communication skills, including the development of rapport and trust. Ability to be friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. A team player with the ability to work with multiple departments and branches. Prior knowledge of Rogue Credit Union's software programs, policies, and procedures and culture helpful.
Physical Requirements: May involve long periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Involves bending, squatting, reaching, grasping, or moving. Manual dexterity while using the computer. Continuous talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision. Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds).
Work Environment: Normal office environment with the comforts of heating and air conditioning. Normal workday with occasional overtime. May include evening or early morning travel with overnight stays. Minimal noise presented by office equipment and foot traffic. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
