What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician - Companion Animal position at Rogue Equine & Companion Animal Clinic?
Located in beautiful Southwestern Oregon, we are an equine hospital/clinic based practice with an associated companion animal practice. Each department operates independently.
Southwestern Oregon abounds in outdoor activity - home to the Rogue and Umpqua Rivers, close to Pacific Coast and Crater Lake National Park.
Service and outstanding care are our top priorities.
Applicant must be efficient, have attention to detail, be adaptable and able to work in a team environment.
Applicant must also be able to lift 40 pounds and have flexible work hours.
Skills you will use include:
- Venipuncture
- catheter placement-IV and urinary
- radiology
- anesthesia monitoring
- physical examinations and patient assessment
- surgical preparation and assisting
- dentistry/dental radiology and prophylaxis
- laboratory work
- pharmacy
- patient recovery
As well as updating medical records, cleaning instruments and treatment area, answering phones and client education
Depending on candidate, this position may carry considerable responsibility, with oversight of operations and management. Compensation adjusted upward accordingly.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
