Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CFO, Director of Business Solutions, and key stakeholders in finance, e-commerce, manufacturing, and IT to deliver technology solutions
- Develop a long-term roadmap for financial systems architecture, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and growth strategy
- Oversee the migration from Microsoft Dynamics AX to a modern, cloud-based platform (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Establish integration of general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, inventory, purchasing, and other finance systems through robust APIs
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance financial data accuracy, process automation, and overall system performance
- Design, test, and deploy solutions that streamline accounting workflows and reduce manual tasks
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts where necessary
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of finance technology developers and specialists
- Manage large-scale accounting and finance implementation projects
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement to identify and implement process optimizations
- Ensure all accounting and purchasing platforms adhere to internal controls, industry regulations, and data security requirements
- Implement performance metrics and reporting systems to track the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of finance technologies
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance technology
- Demonstrated success in ERP systems and large-scale software transformations
- Industry experience in e-commerce or manufacturing strongly preferred
- Strong executive presence, capable of setting and executing strategic direction
- Success in building and leading cross-functional teams; ability to manage complex initiatives
- PMP (Project Management Professional) are a plus but not mandatory
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, including general ledgers, accounts receivable/payable, inventory, and purchasing
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX, as well as modern cloud-based platforms (QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent)
- Proficient in APIs, data integration methods, and process automation best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s or advanced certifications beneficial)
- Position is fully on-site; must thrive in a collaborative environment that emphasizes face-to-face communication
