What You’ll Do
As an Independent Contractor Solar Solutions Consultant (SSC), you will:
- Conduct In-Home Solar Consultations – meet with qualified homeowners to discuss the benefits of solar energy, answer questions, and present customized solar solutions based on their energy needs.
- Close High-Value Solar Sales – Use your preferred sales techniques to educate customers on solar panel systems, financing options, energy savings, and environmental benefits, ensuring high close rates and a strong customer experience.
- Lead Follow-Up & Customer Engagement – Independently manage your leads and pipeline, follow up with potential clients, address objections, and guide homeowners through the solar buying process from consultation to contract signing.
- CRM Data Management & Contract Processing – Maintain accurate sales records in a CRM system. Process solar contracts, home improvement agreements, and financing paperwork as part of closing deals.
- Perform Residential Site Surveys – Conduct on-site assessments to gather measurements and ensure accurate solar panel system design, identifying the best panel placement for maximum energy efficiency. Contractors are responsible for their own tools and methods.
- Represent a Leading Solar Brand – Operate as a trusted independent sales professional, building strong relationships with homeowners and upholding the reputation of Rogue Solar in the renewable energy industry.
How You’re Paid
Commission-Based Pay – Get paid per contract closure; system size
Performance Bonuses – available after 90 days for top performers
Unlimited Earning Potential – Top performing SSCs can make $100K per year!
Who You Are & What You’ll Bring:
- Proven Sales or Customer-Facing Experience – Background in sales, business development, lead generation, or customer service is a plus, but not required. If you have the drive to close deals, we want to hear from you.
- Confident and Persuasive Communicator – Ability to engage homeowners in face-to-face consultations, explain solar energy benefits, and guide them toward an informed decision.
- Self-Motivated and Goal-Oriented – You set your own targets and thrive in a commission-based environment where your effort directly impacts your earnings.
- Reliable Transportation – Ability to travel to customer appointments
- Tech-Savvy Enough for CRM & Sales Tracking – Comfortable using your own smartphone, email, and CRM software to track leads and manage the sales process.
- Professional Presence – Well-groomed, confident, and able to establish trust and credibility with homeowners.
- Flexible Schedule for Maximum Earning Potential – Willingness to set your own appointment times, including evenings and weekends, to meet homeowners when they are available.
- Reliable Transportation - You have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to and from appointments
