The Master Industrial Electrician is responsible for connecting electrical power to facilities and process equipment during installation, assisting in the repair and preventive maintenance of equipment, and collaborating with the facilities and engineering teams to maintain the overall manufacturing operation, including building infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Wire control panels for equipment installations.
- Connect electrical power to facilities and process equipment.
- Determine wiring layouts.
- Bend, thread, and install conduit.
- Install, replace, and repair electrical equipment.
- Pull and install wiring throughout structures.
- Troubleshoot faults in electrical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in motors and control systems.
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on facilities and process equipment.
- Conduct minor and fabricating tasks as required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
Quality
- Maintain equipment maintenance and repair logs.
- Collaborate with the EH&S Manager to ensure Lockout/Tagout procedures are up to date.
- Ensure work and documentation comply with the company's Quality Control System.
