Job Description:
The client is seeking a Lead OCP Engineer with deep hands-on experience in OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), and Kubernetes to lead key migration and cloud transformation initiatives. This role involves both technical leadership and hands-on engineering, ensuring enterprise applications run efficiently on OCP while resolving platform-specific challenges.
Required Skills & Experience:
15 years of IT experience, with 5 years in OCP and Kubernetes configuration and deployments
Strong background in PCF/TAS and OCP in complex enterprise environments (Java, .NET)
Proven experience in migrating applications from PCF/TAS to OCP, ideally in the Financial Services domain
Expertise in cloud-native development, containerization, and DevOps
Hands-on with migration tools: Konveyor, Move2Kube, OpenRewrite
Proficient with CI/CD tools: Spinnaker, Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Actions, Kaniko, Helm, Calico/K8s Network Policies
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
Strong problem-solving skills in areas of platform migration and containerization
Excellent communication, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
