Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Google Cloud Platform)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Day 1 Onsite)
Experience: 9-10 years
Rate: $60-65/hr
Preferred: Ex-Amex candidates
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in big data processing, cloud-native solutions, and data pipeline development. Candidates with prior experience at American Express (Amex) are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

Work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and other Google Cloud Platform services to process and analyze large-scale datasets.

Optimize and enhance data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions for high performance and reliability.

Develop and maintain real-time and batch processing pipelines using tools like Apache Beam, Spark, Airflow, or Kafka.

Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Analysts, and DevOps teams, to improve data infrastructure.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues and implement optimizations.

9-10 years of experience in Data Engineering with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.

Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.

Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.

Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Bigtable, Firestore, MongoDB).

Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and optimization techniques.

Experience working with large-scale data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Beam.

Prior experience in a financial domain or with American Express (Amex) is a strong plus.

Google Cloud Platform Professional Data Engineer Certification is a plus.

Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and containerization.

Familiarity with ML models deployment and feature engineering.
