The Rohde & Schwarz Texas Production and Integration Center (TPIC) produces custom integrated RF systems. We deliver turnkey RF solutions to various customers ranging from the commercial market to the aerospace and defense sectors. Our systems are integrated into a wide variety of solutions including EMC anechoic test chambers, vehicles, and ranges. We are looking for someone to join our world class operations team to continue to deliver these high-quality products. Rohde & Schwarz USA’s critical infrastructure business unit is expanding and seeking talent with networking and software system integration experience. This opening is for an RF Technician to support our Air Traffic Control (ATC) programs. Strong candidates will have experience with IP-based voice communication systems, be goal oriented, and customer focused. This individual will be joining our production team and will focus his/her talents in the work center responsible for production of RF racking/cabling and delivering system support devices and will be responsible for executing against our existing build and delivery processes. Working within our continuous improvement program, it will be important for this individual to use LEAN practices to help meet our customer’s requirements. This is a full-time, onsite position based in our Coppell, TX office. In order to be considered, external candidates must be a US person capable of receiving a U.S. Government Public Trust Clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $21-$32 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.

Your tasks
- Build and populate RF/communication rack systems from supplied BOM
- Read and follow wiring/routing diagrams.
- Route and connect all component connections as required.
- Measure and order for fabrication any specialty cables required
- Follow company standards and procedures
- Use basic hand tools
- Document actions by completing production forms.
- Implement LEAN practices into daily work including, Kaizen Events, A3 Documentation, 5S practices, One Piece Flow and others.
- Experience handling highly sensitive electronic equipment including RF Test and Measurement instruments such as Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers and Signal Generators.
- Trained in ESD safe handling techniques.
- Troubleshooting experience, ability to identify faults in products/process.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Ability to fabricate and test RF and Data Cables is a plus
- Experience with Lean practices
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work within a Quality Management System is a plus.
- Working with an ERP/MRP system such as SAP is a plus.
