We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support our growing communications system business within the technology systems market. The preferred work location for this position is our North American headquarters in Columbia, Maryland near the Baltimore Metropolitan area.

The total compensation for this position is $100K-$180K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.

Your tasks
- Design, integrate, and deploy voice communications systems / subsystems for R&S Air Traffic Controller projects.
- Develop system design and documentation according to customer requirements.
- Create technical proposals, configurations and quotations.
- Serve as technical interface between customers, R&S product design team, and program leadership.
- Translate customer needs into requirements and competitive solutions maximizing R&S content.
- Work closely with the product engineering teams based in Europe and North America.
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant engineering degree.
- 5 years of experience designing and deploying systems for critical infrastructure customers.
- Solid understanding and experience in IP networking/VoIP or similar.
- Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
- Proficient with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or similar.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong communication and customer interface skills (verbal and written).
- Proactive, highly organized, analytical and self-managed.
- Ability to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, up to 30%.
- US citizen capable of receiving a US Government security clearance.
