Technical Marketing Intern

If you’re studying engineering but have always been curious about the marketing side of business, this position may be for you! In this role you’ll have the unique opportunity to apply your technical knowledge creatively and strategically to engage with other engineers. The ideal candidate has several years of engineering studies and a desire to use that expertise in a marketing environment. This internship can be part time during the school year and full time during the summer; however we are also open to recent grads looking for a full time internship beginning immediately. This position does require regularly being onsite in our Hillsboro office; candidates must live within a commutable distance of the Portland, Oregon area. What You’ll Gain

• Hands-on experience in digital marketing and social media strategy within a technical industry.
• Exposure to technical and marketing topics with a business focus.
• The opportunity to see beyond traditional engineering roles. Your tasks
• Content Creation Develop and deliver engaging technical content for social media, blog posts, and digital campaigns.
• Social Media Management Support the growth of our social media presence on platforms like LinkedIn and YouTube. Assist with optimizing existing content, clarify technical captions, and identify and implement ways to improve click through rates (CTR).
• Investigate AI Support Research and identify methods to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to find and respond to social media comments and create content.
• Market Research Conduct research on successful social media posts that engage engineers. Analyze existing social media platforms and suggest ways to optimize them.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated interest or coursework in marketing, communications, or digital media.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, with a keen interest in applying these in a technical context.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data and metrics.
• Self-starter with strong positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
• To be considered, candidates must be located in the US and have valid US work authorization.

The hourly compensation for this position is $22-$25. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
