CLEARED Software Safety / Quality Engineer
Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking
applicants for several Software Safety / Quality Engineer positions we have open to support our
Army customer.
Job Responsibilities include: The Software Safety / Quality Engineer will conduct scans on
specific code bases and produce reports of the findings of the scans. He/she will develop
Software Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans and document quality activities in compliance
with Army processes and procedures. The successful candidate will implement a system and
software quality program per the Army Quality Standard Operating Procedures and other quality
processes and procedures while using ISO 9000-3 as a reference. Will prepare change requests
for the quality processes and implement the changes once approved by the Process Configuration
Control Board (PCCB) or the Quality Assurance Division Chief, as appropriate. Will measure
and analyze the effectiveness of the process.
Minimum Requirements:
10 years relevant work in the software development or software quality assurance field.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Demonstrated knowledge of software development life-cycle.
Experience developing and/or debugging embedded software.
Experience/exposure to MIL-STD-882E and/or DO-178
Preferred Skills:
Embedded software development experience or experience with SW quality assurance
Required Education: A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM, computer science,
or computer engineering, etc.) is required.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
