Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a commitment to educating students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults. This role requires creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment while promoting a love for dance at our traditional sleep away camp, CSL, located outside of New York.
Position Details:
Must move in two days before starting date!
- Dates: July 1st – August 19th
- Compensation: $700 per week opportunities for additional earnings through private lessons
- Schedule: Monday – Friday; Saturday off; Sunday half-day
- Accommodation & Meals: Provided at no cost
Responsibilities:
- Lead three 45-minute dance classes per day for girls’ cabins, focusing primarily on hip-hop
- Choreograph and prepare dancers for three summer competitions alongside co-choreographers
- Offer private lessons for additional income
- Mix your own music for performances and classes
Qualifications:
- Strong hip-hop background
- 10 years of teaching/choreographing experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have reliable transportation
- Willing to relocate for the summer
- Patient, nurturing, and experienced working with children
