Back of House Porter - FIRE (Hourly)

FIRE is looking for a Full-Time BOH Porter to join our team! The BOH Porter is an important part of the team that promotes high sanitation standards by maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment for our guests. This is a full-time position paid hourly. Candidates must be willing to work five days a week (40 hours per week), but open availability is preferred.

FIRE: A bold tasting menu experience pushing fire and its transformative power in cooking. In creating this concept, Chef Achatz magnifies open fire cooking techniques including ember cooking, ash-salt crusting, Patagonia-style asado crosses, and bringing back the iron presses. He explored all temperatures from top to bottom.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glasses, pots and pans by hand or via commercial dish/glass washer
• Dry and polish all serviceware, glassware and flatware 
• Report any maintenance deficiencies to appropriate resource
• Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets
• Removal of garbage and waste to compactors or recycling bins 
• Maintain general cleanliness of dining rooms, kitchens, restrooms and outside areas 

Requirements

• 1 or more year experience of dishwashing or comparable position 
• Ability to operate dish machines, cleaning tools and other required equipment safely 
• Ability to follow instructions, anticipate needs, and multitask 
• Can work individually and within a team environment 

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours 
• Must be able to move, pull or lift at least 35 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift
