Nursery Watering and Yard Hand

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team. This position involves a variety of outdoor tasks that support the maintenance and growth of our garden and landscape areas. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in an outdoor environment, possess a strong work ethic, and be willing to engage in physical labor, including heavy lifting.

Duties

• Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of garden areas, including planting, weeding, and watering.
• Operate hand tools and machinery for landscaping tasks.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for moving plants, soil, and other materials.
• Help with greenhouse operations, including irrigation and plant care.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris and properly storing tools.
• Utilize basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating area coverage for planting or landscaping projects.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Experience

• Previous experience in outdoor work or landscaping is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with greenhouse operations is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge related to the use of hand tools and equipment is beneficial.
• A willingness to learn about gardening techniques and landscape maintenance practices is essential.
• Candidates should be comfortable with physical tasks that involve heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking outdoors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
