Job Summary:
As a Roll Off Driver at Apex Waste Solutions, you are pivotal in safely operating a heavy-duty roll off truck, delivering and collecting containers from customer locations. This role demands strict adherence to safety regulations and DOT compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to general and DOT safety regulations. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly address any safety issues or vehicle concerns.
- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service, including professional interactions and timely responses to customer inquiries and issues.
- Punctuality and Reliability: Demonstrate punctuality and reliability, maintaining consistent attendance and timely completion of routes.
- Operational Execution: Follow detailed instructions for the drop off, pickup, and routing of roll off containers. Efficiently manage assigned routes for optimal productivity.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the company dispatcher to ensure operational efficiency. Report any discrepancies immediately.
- Maintenance and Reporting: Keep the vehicle clean and conduct basic maintenance. Accurately complete all required logs and reports in compliance with company and DOT standards.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one-two years of experience as a Roll Off Driver or in the waste management industry.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with different sizes and configurations of roll off containers.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
Expected Knowledge:
- Familiarity with various container sizes, including 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 cubic yards.
- Knowledge of common configurations such as open-top, compactor-ready, and sealed containers.
