JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to design, program, and troubleshooting PLC's. This position is part of the Robotics & Automation Engineering team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC's.
- Develop and maintain SCADA automation, data logging, and analytics.
- Write Python scripts for SCADA automation, data logging, and analytics.
- Integrate PLC's with SCADA via OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP. etc.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize industrial automation solutions
- Troubleshoot communication issues between PLC's, SCADA, and external database.
- Ensure system security, backups, and proper documentation of automation process.
- Maintain network documentations, including IP addressing and communication mappings.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical automated/robotic equipment
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of database such as SQL.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in industrial environments.
- Programming in Python.
- Experience with network communication.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Salary Range: 72,000-80,000
