RBC AeroComponents is a division of RBC Bearings and manufactures precision machined components servicing the aerospace industry, specializing in “hard to machine” materials. The MET position is a 1-year rotational program that offers a deep dive into every aspect of the organization, which allows new graduates to immerse themselves in the fast-paced aerospace manufacturing industry. This both builds a well-rounded understanding of the organization for the MET as well as allows management to identify their strengths through a diversified project arrangement. High-level process and system development is the comprehensive focus of the position.
Responsibilities
- Work with the NPI (new process implementation) team to build system to advance their capabilities
- Develop systems to extract, track, and analyze real time CNC machine data
- Develop 3D modeled CNC machine environments
- Develop and implement systems to track and improve tooling consumption
- Work with NPI (new process implementation) Team to develop tooling libraries
- Carry out work studies to improve operational KPIs
- Develop process work instructions, workmanship standards, and process documents
- Investigate operational problems affecting production and recommend solutions
- Work closely with relevant departments to plan and implement continuous improvement projects
