What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery?
Under the direction of the surgeon, prepares patients to see the surgeon, facilitates lab tests and pre-operative counseling as needed, and assists with clinical duties as directed.
- High school degree required
- Completion of nursing program required
- MA/LPN/RN licensure required
- Training in bariatric assisting a plus
- Neat, professional appearance
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
- Type 40 WPM
- Good spelling
- Experience with an Electronic Health Record, preferred
- Two years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of insurance preferred
