JOB SUMMARY: Schedule surgeries and counsel patients about their financial responsibility prior to surgery. Act as a liaison between physician, patient, and hospital or surgery center.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required
- College education or trade school preferred
- Medical Assistant or LPN or RN a plus
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum eighteen months experience working in a physician group practice billing department
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
- Neat, professional appearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and cheerful attitude
- Able to enter data into the computer system accurately
