What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Cook position at Rolling Hills Developmental Center?
RESPONSIBILITY : To provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed / instructed in accordance with established policies and procedures, applicable federal, stat and local standards, guidelines and regulations; and as may be directed by the Dietetic Service Director, Dietetic Cook and Facility Administrator to ensure quality food service is provided at all times.
REQUIREMENTS :
Educational : Must be able to read, speak, and write the English language. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Physical Demands : Stands and walks distance most of working day. Stoops, reaches, lift, and carry food and dietary equipment. Tastes and smells food to determine quality and palatability. Hand dexterity to prepare food.
Training and Experience : Experience, as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, hospital, or nursing facility is preferred.
