Responsibilities
This role involves performing various housekeeping tasks to ensure that our facilities are always clean and safe. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Dusting and damp wiping furniture, desks, tables, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, shelves, chairs, phones, drinking fountains, etc.
- Cleaning lunchrooms and kitchens as needed
- Maintaining cleaning inventory and ordering new products when necessary
- Keeping supply areas organized and clean
- Emptying waste bins and recycling bins, transporting to designated collection points
- Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, etc.) if required within the contract
- Vacuuming carpets and walk-off mats, including edges and behind furniture
- Mopping floors with wet or dry mops
- Maintaining and cleaning restrooms - mirrors, toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers, partitions
- Cleaning entrance glass inside and out to remove smudges and fingerprints
- Notifying supervisors or calling the office of unsafe conditions
Requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and their proper use
- Understanding of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners
- Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
- Good organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods
