- We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, mechanical and machine repairs, building maintenance, and support specific projects.
- This role ensures the maintenance and repair of production equipment, support equipment, and facility grounds.
- Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, and electrical systems.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production and facility equipment to optimize efficiency.
- Identify and address problems, implementing solutions to improve productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Utilize maintenance systems to document and track daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Safely operate material handling equipment.
- Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs and plant initiatives.
- Participate in safety observations and uphold SQF 2000 Systems standards.
- Comply with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2–4 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
- Proficiency in welding, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with chemical exposure.
- Physical Requirements:

- Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, reach, and push/pull.
- Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Work in varying temperatures, noisy environments, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to climb ladders, crawl, and perform tasks in awkward positions.
