Rolling Rock is searching for a Pastry Chef. This position requires a strong and talented individual that will be responsible for all pastries, desserts, and baked goods. The Pastry Chef coordinates with the Club Chef and Chef de Cuisine on the preparation and presentation of all dessert items. At Rolling Rock Club, it is expected to have the majority of the items that we serve to be made in house. Staying up to date with current trends and techniques is important; however, traditional items are a large part of what makes the experience special at Rolling Rock Club. The Pastry Chef is responsible for meeting directly with members to discuss important events.
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for the following items: Breakfast Pastries, Cakes, Tortes, Tarts, Pies, Ice Creams, Sorbets, A la carte Desserts, Special Function Desserts, Breads, Rolls, and other items. It is important to rotate local ingredients within all products and presentations. The importance of an overall team atmosphere in the Rolling Rock Club operation is paramount. The Pastry Chef should be willing to help in all aspects of the kitchen to achieve member satisfaction.
