Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Cemetery Sales Counselor to join our location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for lead generation, building and maintaining relationships in the local area. This role requires a strong understanding of the funeral industry, including products and services. As a Cemetery Sales Counselor, you will play a crucial role in supporting families, the location, and Funeral Directors. You will offer protection and opportunity to celebrate loved ones by creating a memorial to honor a life well lived.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients through effective account management and communication, including cold calls.
- Identify new business opportunities through lead generation and established relationships.
- Manage assigned sales effectively, ensuring all targets are met or exceeded.
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned
