Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing engineering work related to developing custom electrical and control solutions. This position works with a wide range of departments, including Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams responsible for moving orders from incoming concepts to production solutions. This role also supports Sustaining Engineering topics for existing product models.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing engineering work related to developing custom electrical and control solutions. This position works with a wide range of departments, including Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams responsible for moving orders from incoming concepts to production solutions. This role also supports Sustaining Engineering topics for existing product models.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develops electrical components and systems for new or existing products including, but is not limited to generator set control systems, wiring harnesses, electrical diagrams, electronic engine systems, automatic voltage regulators, transformers, heaters, motor controls, and protective devices, paralleling switchgear, low and medium voltage switchgear, and any other electrical aspects of products.
- Work with Applications and Mechanical Engineering and Sales to clearly understand customer requirements
- Creates schematics to document As-Built wiring for Custom Electrical designs.
- Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement of existing products
- Complete work according to standard engineering principles and practices
- Responsible for following the ERP procedures per the company’s quality system
- Safety and environmental procedures and work instructions can be referenced in the Matrix
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
- Perform special projects as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; or 4 years of electrical engineering experience
- Computer Skills: AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD electrical, Programming, MS Office (Programmable Logic Devices)
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Service/or Test experience
- Good analytical ability when problems are complex
- Good ability to read and interpret line diagrams, ladder diagrams, and point to point diagrams
- Good knowledge of Diesel and Gas engines
- Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good ability to work effectively with others
- Good ability to read and understand customer specs
- Good presentation skills
