CNC Machine Maintenance Technician - Off Shift

Key Accountabilities:
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical repair on Heller CNC machining center.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and repair of Knoll cooling lubricant tanks and MTM washing machines (cleaning and refilling if necessary), including machining and facility equipment and fluids.
- Analyze, in detail, complex mechanical, electrical machines and the automation components for failure modes. Informing management of potential mechanical problems and any inherent dangers involved.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and repair of lifting device, KVT guns, leak test units and fixtures. All supporting equipment (including Tooling and CMM).
- Thoroughly document root cause analysis, repairs, services, spare parts, and fluid consumption.
- Repair of failed components: Pumps, valves, sensors, motors etc.
- Work with vendors when inhouse repairs cannot be performed. Planning and coordination of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance activities including ordering of spare parts, organization, and initiation of necessary parts shipment.
- Support the installation of the plant’s machining equipment.
- Design, modification and fabrication of needed components and repair of production parts when necessary, using manual machining equipment.
- Documentation of malfunctions and the measures taken of used spare parts.
- Provide professional technical support in person and by phone.
- Implement, lead, schedule and perform Total Production Maintenance (TPM) measures.
- Work towards all aspects of Continuous Improvements of the Machining Department.
- Responsible Person for Process Water in Machining.
- Monitor and ordering of bulk Nitrogen. Monitor and repair of transfer tanks.
- Perform special projects as required and maintain on the job flexibility by providing support in Machining and in other production related areas.
- Coordinate training and provide coaching to fewer senior technicians.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
- Creation, adjustment and tracking of controlled documents for data collection /verification.
- Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and 3 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment; or completion of apprenticeship or training program and 5 years of machining maintenance technician experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions products, policies, and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of MTM parts washers, Knoll coolant systems, LTA filter system.
- Strong knowledge of Manual Machining Equipment.
- Strong knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM).
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- Fluent in German and English
- Advanced knowledge of HELLER CNC machines.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with machine tool control CNC programming applications (Siemens 840D CNC)
- Advanced knowledge in a variety of machines and tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists; including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Advanced mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, carpentry, lubrications, and repair of production machines.
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the analytical ability to complete very complex problems.
- Intermediate interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers and other tradesmen.
- Intermediate organizational, planning and follow-up skills.
- Intermediate oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.
- This position is scheduled for the Night Shift which starts at 8PM and ends at 6:30AM, Sunday through Wednesday. Additional hour/days worked are eligible for overtime pay. Initially training will occur on first shift from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday. You should have the flexibility to change shifts and occasionally be on call when production requires.
