The qualified candidate will maintain business relationships, solve problems, answer questions, optimize processes, and support and cooperate with the customer in the event of customer complaints. Primary responsibilities include driving/supporting root cause analysis and remedial measures, coordinating resources and using quality engineering tools and inspections to resolve customer concerns. Additional duties include hands on gathering of data using mechanical measuring tools to maintain and analyze data associated with those activities.

Key Accountabilities:
- Records all quality relevant topics in their area of responsibility, can provide information regarding quality concerns, update status and report resolutions to both the customer as well as within the organization.
- Serve as main point of contact for the Distributor and Service, centrally coordinate communication with the customer, distributors, external partners as well as within the organization.
- Investigate suspected quality concerns raised by Global Aftersales, Quality, OEM, and direct customers (customer concerns). These may either be single events or systematic failures where multiple units are affected or where multiple systems must be considered as part of the investigation (electronics, mechanics, fuel system, cooling system, programming, etc)
- Coordinates corrective action activities by assembling and leading multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement solutions to prevent issues from reoccurring.
- Analyze and prepare data from various sources to support information requests, task tracking and preparation of departmental Key Performance Indicators.
- Determine the causer and root-cause of reported non-conformances.
- Coordinate activities for qualifying corrective actions.
- Carry out lessons learned for each systemic non-conformance topics to ensure that the problem and similar issues do not reoccur.
- Understand and support customer requirements (contract review), project topics, and customer complaints in the project phase.
- Support customer meetings, track and resolve customer complaints utilizing customer tools such as BIM 360, Buganizer, and Compass in the series phase.
- Keep management up to date on Reliability Engineering workload, engine field problems, and status of investigations.
- Maintain and modify existing standards and guidelines when change is necessary.
- Support Manager of Reliability Engineering in maintaining project timelines, tracking of tasks, as well as preparation and facilitation of meetings.
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
- Perform special projects as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of mechanical and/or quality engineering experience; or 7 years of mechanical, and/or quality engineering experience.
- Knowledge of MTU products and their applications
- Familiar with plant operations and equipment
- Experience in statistical problem solving
- Functional knowledge of relevant SAP systems
- Functional knowledge of Windchill PLM and CAD viewing tools (CreoView)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills when issues are complex
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Excellent knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
- Self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills.
- Strong computer skills and
- Good knowledge of engine mechanics and tools, including design, useage, repair and maintenance
- Good knowledge of production processes and quality control techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours or shifts.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
