The Sr. Product Manager – Gas Systems is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Sr. Project Manager will also assist in market analysis, identifying market size by application, identifying vertical markets and size of market opportunities. The Sr. Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Position Summary:

The Sr. Project Manager will also assist in market analysis, identifying market size by application, identifying vertical markets and size of market opportunities. The Sr. Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads strategic & important Product Roadmap Projects including business case analysis to support the financial viability of projects
- Leads and manages international cross functional project teams
- Responsible for steering, reporting and achieving set Project Target (KPI based)
- Performs structured assessment of Customer and Market requirements as it relates to product responsibilities
- Validates competitor capabilities and offerings, provides direct comparison against Rolls Royce solutions.
- Leads the product prioritization process with internal and external Stakeholders and develops the product and solutions roadmap.
- Provides expert guidance and responsibility for the Product/Solutions Requirement Specification for defined NPI projects
- Be an expert with respect to the competition and markets
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Research and analyze requirements from various engineering standards, contracts, and proposal documents.
- Represents RRPS at Industry Associations as well as Regulatory Authorities
- Select effective design concepts and fundamental technology for new products or improvement of existing products
- Review and compare customer specifications against MTU designs and equipment vendor proposals.
- Leads the Market introduction and roll-out of improved and new offerings in close cooperation with Marketing and Sales.
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Run Beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
- Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
- Performs special projects as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Application Engineering, Combustion Engineering or Automotive Engineering and 7 years of work experience in sales, or service engineering in the power generation industry or 11 years of experience in sales or service engineering in the power generations industry.
- Willingness to travel for business trips up to 30%.
- In order to be considered for this position, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- MBA preferred, however not required.
- Excellent applied knowledge about reciprocating internal combustion engines used in genset applications including exhaust treatment technologies
- Excellent applied knowledge of the Energy Sector
- Excellent ability to bring competitive analysis, business cases and assigned projects and communicate via Power Point
- Knowledge of natural gas energy markets, gas systems or CHP systems
- Excellent ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Fundamental knowledge of AC and DC electricity and the electrical industry
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings such as single line diagrams and point to point drawings
- Excellent ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
- Excellent ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and explain those conclusions to management in form of presentations
- Excellent computer Skills: MS Office suite, BIM360, drafting tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
