Position Summary :
The Sr. Product Manager - Gas Systems is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including : gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Sr. Project Manager will also assist in market analysis, identifying market size by application, identifying vertical markets and size of market opportunities. The Sr. Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
Key Accountabilities :
- Leads strategic & important Product Roadmap Projects including business case analysis to support the financial viability of projects
- Leads and manages international cross functional project teams
- Responsible for steering, reporting and achieving set Project Target (KPI based)
- Performs structured assessment of Customer and Market requirements as it relates to product responsibilities
- Validates competitor capabilities and offerings, provides direct comparison against Rolls Royce solutions.
- Leads the product prioritization process with internal and external Stakeholders and develops the product and solutions roadmap.
- Provides expert guidance and responsibility for the Product / Solutions Requirement Specification for defined NPI projects
- Be an expert with respect to the competition and markets
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Research and analyze requirements from various engineering standards, contracts, and proposal documents.
- Represents RRPS at Industry Associations as well as Regulatory Authorities
- Select effective design concepts and fundamental technology for new products or improvement of existing products
- Review and compare customer specifications against MTU designs and equipment vendor proposals.
- Leads the Market introduction and roll-out of improved and new offerings in close cooperation with Marketing and Sales.
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Run Beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
- Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
- Performs special projects as required.
