About the Role
We are seeking a bilingual Human Resources Assistant to join our team at RoMac Building Supply. In this role, you will support our HR department in various functions, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with payroll functions including time punches, reports and process weekly payroll.
- Support employee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with data entry tasks.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Help manage employee relations by addressing concerns and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Collect and analyze data for HR reports and initiatives as needed.
- Assist in organizing training sessions and employee development programs.
- Contribute to HR projects that enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Familiarity with employee relations practices and conflict management techniques is essential.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Suite
- Working knowledge of Paylocity payroll and HRIS a plus
- Able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Bilingual english/spanish is a plus but not required.
