What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truss Design Manager position at RoMac Building Supply?
The Truss Design Manager is responsible for leading a team of designers to ensure estimates and production designs are completed in a timely manner and adhere to project specifications. This position is in-person and located in Florida.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage a team of in-office and out-of-office Designers.
* 10 years previous experience using MiTek design software.
* Single family and multi-family design knowledge is a must.
* Schedule Designer workload for efficiency and maximum production.
* Conduct training on design developments, process changes, software updates, or
other items as needed.
* Review and analyze project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with
building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
* Coordinate the release of truss jobs to the manufacturing plant.
* Identify improvements that enhance customer service/retention and grow truss
business.
* Communicate with customers to mitigate and resolve any design issues.
* Provide technical support and guidance to customers, Designers, and Sales staff.
* Perform estimating and design duties as required.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience with managing, leading, and developing staff.
* Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to meet changing and strict
deadlines.
* Result driven and able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* Detail oriented with a strong history of accuracy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
