What are the responsibilities and job description for the MIG Welder II (Swing Shift) position at Romac Industries, Inc.?
**Please note that you will have to train on a day shift for 1-3 months**
In this role, you'll work under the guidance and supervision of experienced professionals. Your main responsibilities include positioning materials for welding using standard fixtures and applying hand-eye coordination to achieve high-quality welds. You'll be working with various materials like steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and different alloys. Your primary welding method will be MIG and you'll also be responsible for regulating heat and feed, and you may need to select electrodes, tips, and rods as necessary. Your work will involve interpreting specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate and precise welding
Hours: Mon – Fri 1:00pm-9:30pm
What you’ll do:
- Run dispatch list; understand and decipher part numbers.
- Follow work instructions, drawings, established quality standards, and established safety protocols.
- Must meet defined production expectations and be on-time to schedule.
- MIG weld assemblies and components as directed.
- Perform computer transactions and print travelers, as directed
What you’ll bring:
- Must be able to read basic drawings and fit product as represented by drawing
- Must pass a Romac weld test during interview process
- Repetition of eye/hand coordination
- Understand oral and written instructions
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
Compensation: $24.00-30.43 per hour, depending on experience
