What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Romac Industries, Inc.?
This position will utilize Quality Engineering tools and practices for the effective and efficient development, production, and maintenance of products throughout the product lifecycle. The incumbent will also utilize Quality Engineering principles and problem-solving skills to improve and maintain products and processes that are aligned with the overall quality and business vision. Utilize appropriate risk management to prevent unanticipated failure modes and improve the capability of processes. This position requires knowledge and understanding of basic engineering concepts and procedures within broad assignment areas. May be assigned an element of a project or well-defined tasks. May recommend and/or develop improvements to existing products, processes, and testing methods. May coordinate and direct activities of QA technical support staff.
Hours: Mon – Fri 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Responsibilities
- With oversight, work on tasks in support of larger quality projects and help to resolve quality issues in production
- Perform assigned research and development tasks on new products.
- As directed, test and validate data, systems, or products; document results and findings after inspections are carried out.
- In support of developing quality expectations, create documentation and perform follow-up audits.
- Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
- Skilled at identifying critical performance indicators and analyze data
- Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and computer skills, including MS Office
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
Compensation: $72,900-$109,400 per year, depending on experience
