St. John the Baptist Catholic Church seeks a full-time Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and safety of our parish and school facilities. Reporting to the Pastor and Principal, this role is responsible for all aspects of property maintenance, including custodial, preventative, corrective, and emergency work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors for janitorial and landscaping services.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, safety, and energy audits.
- Submit annual utilities & recycling reporting to Montgomery County.
- Coordinate inspections for elevator and dumbwaiter; oversee elevator contractor.
- Perform repairs, including light plumbing, electrical work, painting, and general upkeep.
- Oversee snow removal, landscaping, and the operation of maintenance equipment.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for staff and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and supervisory skills; ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with HVAC computer controls and general facility maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
- Active, practicing Catholic committed to living in accordance with Church teachings.
This is a full-time, salaried position (Monday–Friday) with occasional night and weekend duties.
