Catholic Charities of Fairfield County is seeking a Development Data and Donor Relations Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, this full-time, benefits-eligible position works closely with the Philanthropy team and Finance department and is responsible for maintaining the donor database, including accurate processing of donations, updating donor records, responding to donor inquiries, and maintaining the integrity of the database. The position is primarily responsible for supporting primarily supports fundraising initiatives through timely and precise data management, donor engagement, reporting, and campaign efforts.

Accountabilities
- Updates and maintains the Agency’s donor database (Raiser’s Edge), creates new constituent records, enters donations, creates queries for Agency programs, and reconciles online donations made through Raiser’s Edge forms.
- Conducts quarterly system analyses and updates. Assists and trains program staff in the use of Raiser’s Edge including, but not limited to, queries, creating lists, and donor research. Troubleshoots Agency challenges, coordinating with the Agency’s Blackbaud and other platform representatives, including platform integrations.
- Processes all donations, including stocks, matching gifts, etc., and completes all corresponding reports for funders. Record gifts in Raiser’s Edge capturing all pertinent information. Batches and posts in Raiser’s Edge. Coordinates with Finance to ensure accuracy of donations. Generates and mails donor acknowledgement letters.
- Maintains donor database which includes adding and updating donor contact information, billing unpaid pledges, and acknowledging gifts. Updates constituent information for completeness and accuracy. Adjusts entries to donor gift records.
- Provides assistance and supports marketing/events; including, but not limited to, preparation of donor lists/queries for events/campaigns, notification of event/campaign registrations and payments, event production, administrative assistance. Assists with various tasks at events. Provides reports related to events.
- Works with the Finance and Philanthropy departments to manage donations. Tracks and records bequests.
- Assists in maintaining and updating event tracking databases, including uploading donor information from the trackers to Raiser’s Edge. Uploads donor information from event management platform (GiveSmart) to Raiser’s Edge post-event.
- With the Development team, works to identify and research donor prospects within Raiser’s Edge and other tools.
- Assists with preparation for fundraising events (reports, mailing lists, name tags, etc.).
- Performs administrative tasks which include: opening mail and responding to donor and parish inquiries. Responsible for distributing the Agency’s program and event information to the Diocese. Coordinates Agency’s event schedule with the Bishop’s office.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum three years’ relevant office experience; nonprofit development experience preferred.
- Strong donor database skills, with Raiser’s Edge proficiency highly desired; Online Express preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel and other compatible software used in fundraising to create queries and export data for reports required. Advanced proficiency in Excel a plus.
- Strong attention to detail. Proficiency writing, proofing and editing skills.
- Excellent phone, videoconference, and in-person communications skills. High level of discretion when handling details of a confidential nature.
- Reliable, courteous, and articulate. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide variety of individuals.
- Ability to efficiently and independently organize work, perform under pressure and to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to attend weekend/evening events as required.
