Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and products to various locations in a timely and efficient manner. This is a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the reputation of our company.
Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a truck or van, to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as a forklift or pallet jack
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Collect payments from customers, if required
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each delivery
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Ability to operate tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers is a plus
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to load and unload goods safely
