JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Site Operations Manager (ASOM) is responsible for assisting SOM and DSOM in daily activities to manage a successful business operation, actively training for future SOM opportunities that may arise. The ASOM is first responder to issues reported by stores, installers, customers, or those found on routine job inspections. The ASOM is also responsible for assisting SOM in maximizing profit contribution by accomplishing business objectives and KPIs as set by the executive team. The position reports to a Site Operations Manager (SOM).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor flooring installations, act as the liaison between The Home Depot stores, customers, subcontractors, vendors, sales associates, and other personnel.
- Maintain Assigned Installation Crews’ Yield Capacity and settings
- Monitor and actively discuss capacities and VOC scores with Lead installers
- Answer and respond to inbound calls from Customers
- Answer and respond to inquiries from the RCS
- Provide installation feedback to lead installers and EI leads & helpers.
- Maintain Installation Crew Cost including supply management and EI down time management (such as limiting loading delays and drive time)
- Actively assist with Monthly Installer meetings (including Safety training) and with Quarterly meetings
- Maintain Installer Engagement, monitor day to day to day installer flow to ensure delivery of services to customers in a timely manner. Inform customers and installers of any changes or issues with a work order
- Installer recruitment and retention (includes matriculation of EI helpers to Leads)
- Train employee installers on RR systems and processes
- Provide customer service assistance to customers and stores. Take appropriate action to resolve all customer issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate receipt of material, installer pick up, and schedule/assist with scheduling all work orders
- Process/assist with processing incoming Order Review
- Push Schedule/assist with Incoming Orders with customers and installers, maintaining push schedule worklist
- Manage and optimize whiteboard to achieve maximum production with best crews
- Schedule Service Tickets with appropriate crews
- Assist SOM with Escalated Ticket management
- Visit THD stores and complete Jobsite Visits to promote positive relationships
- Actively engage in development activities to prepare for regional SOM roles that may become available
- Assist SOM with associate management in local office
- Provide support to local Site Operation Manager including any additional assigned tasks
- Adherence to SOP
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and possess vehicle insurance.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the company
- Strong customer service skills, ability to provide a positive and professional experience
- Desire to for self-growth and learning
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and adapt to unique situations.
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to travel to field offices, jobsites, and The Home Depot stores
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a retail or home-services environment.
- Background in floor covering installation and understands basic construction
