What are the responsibilities and job description for the CoPack Quality Team Lead position at Romark Logistics?

2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM | Monday - Friday | $20.75 per hour
The tasks and responsibilities required of a CoPack Quality Team Lead are outlined below:
- Asserts work procedures and processes that support standards, requirements and procedures established by the company and OSHA.
- Provides quarterly training and preparation of all quality control subordinates as well as team associates.
- Provides data and information gathered during all shifts to CoPack management team to promote quality, accuracy, and safety.
- Evaluates performance of subordinates daily, prompting constant improvement.
- Provides support and assistance to team members by resolving and researching quality discrepancies.
- Performs hourly checks using mobile devices to verify finished goods coincide with MARS In-plant instructions and standards.
- Evaluates procedures and processes to meet quality requirements to greater improve customer satisfaction.
- Performs audits to CoPacking area to promote 6S standards.
- Performs inspections of packaging and donor candy to verify specifications/requirements are met to better reject or discard materials not up to standards.
- Performs manufacturing quality inspection audits on product as required. (i.e. weight accuracy, bag quality, label accuracy, unusual odor/discoloration)
- Inspection and audit of staged inbound and outbound product. (SKU, visible damage, pallet count)
- Maintains compliance of GMPs, 6S and OSHA standards.
- Responsible to perform all duties in a safe, clean and organized manner while assuring associates also act in accordance with these.
- Responsible to perform quality inspections, auditing and updating verification forms (line clearance, safety audits, conformance, sanitation audits)
- Responsible to follow all Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards.
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the sanitation crew.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Champions stretching and ergonomically exercises.
The skills and qualifications required for a CoPack Quality Team Lead are outlined below:
- High school education or GED preferred
- Must have 1 to 2 years’ experience supervising and/or leading others.
- Ability to work in a team and motivate others to achieve department goals.
- Exceptional attention to detail. · Strong mathematical skills.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Data entry, Excel spreadsheet and QA applications.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
- Strong communication skills. (written, verbal and penmanship)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to frequently lift 35 lbs and up to 75 lbs.
- Prior quality knowledge a plus.
- Leadership skills strongly encouraged.
- Must be able to work overtime, both daily and weekends.
