We are currently recruiting for the position of Welcome Center Associate.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 4pm-2am
The tasks and responsibilities required of a Welcome Center Associate are outlined below:
- Provide timely and accurate information to Carriers for status of inbound/outbound loads.
- Process gate-in gate out process according to established department policies and procedures.
- Speak directly to Carriers by phone or email concerning loads and shipments
- Ability to work independently and multi-task while meeting quality and performance standards.
- Generate correspondence via email to provided status updates to carriers on load status information to resolve pick and drop of deliveries.
- Responsible for adhering to good housekeeping policies and procedures and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Routinely conduct trailer inspections.
- Ability to work independently while meeting inbound/outbound procedures.
- Participates in special projects as required
- Exhibits safe behaviors and practices in the workplace to include wearing required PPE.
- Responsible to follow good housekeeping and GMP to maintain a safe and clean working environment to include picking up trash.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The skills and qualifications required for a Welcome Center Associate are outlined below:
- High school education or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in administrative, inbound/outbound shipping, or customer service-related role preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
- Strong computer skills, experience in inventory/order management systems, Outlook, Microsoft Office products and general office equipment.
- SAP experience.
- Red Prairie experience.
- An exception attention to detail critical.
- Time management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, while exhibiting a pleasant and professional demeanor when dealing with coworkers, carriers and drivers.
- Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to meet business needs.
