The Rome City School District is seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Business educator to inspire and prepare young learners in an engaging learning environment. This position is for a Business Teacher to teach middle school students in grades 7-8, focusing on foundational business concepts such as entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and economics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that introduce business concepts including entrepreneurship, marketing, personal finance, and economics.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, inspired, and encouraged to think critically.
- Integrate real-world business scenarios, case studies, and interactive activities into the curriculum to make learning practical and relevant.
- Support students’ social and emotional growth by encouraging teamwork, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Organize and showcase student projects through business simulations, exhibitions, or school events.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and achievements.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, participation, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Must hold valid New York State Teaching Certification in Business Education or a related field.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for inspiring students to explore and develop business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a team and engage with families.
