What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ticket Sales Intern position at Rome Emperors?
The Rome Emperors are looking to hire an intern for the 2025 Season in our Group Sales Department. This is a tremendous opportunity for a December 2024 or May 2025 college graduate. We also will facilitate the internship for a current college student in order to get the experience you need, along with training to be a solid sales and service rep in sports.
The Team will pay you with a monthly stipend of $500 for your living expenses. In addition, you are eligible for commissions on any event product you sell and you will be paid an hourly rate for all of the games you agree to be scheduled for at $9.00 per hour. Additionally, you will receive real work training and classroom type training to better understand our business. We will also assist you with the paperwork you need to facilitate your college credit if needed. This is not a job; it is an internship to prepare you for a job in sports.

Duties
- Make outside sales calls to groups in the community to sell group events during games.
- Meet with groups to plan their game events.
- Handle all the details of catering menus for game events.
- Sell a goal of in game events you have been assigned.
- Provide service to customers, and handle service duties in games as assigned.
- Learn how to be a true sales rep, in order to build your career in a sports organization.
- You must be able to start full-time on site in the role as of April 2024.
- You must be a very recent college grad or need this internship to graduate (either or).
- You must actually want to work in sales and have a passion for it.
- You must be willing to work all 66 home games during the 2025 season.
- You should have some kind of selling experience, retail, ticket sales- all count.
- You must have an interest in being on phones, meeting with people and working your heart out, to both be successful, and learn how to create your own destiny in one of the key areas of any sport's related business.
