What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed ** Counselor for Substance Use Disorder Clinic position at Rome Health?
Rome Health is seeking a Licensed / Credentialed Substance Use Disorder Counselor. The position is located at our outpatient clinic, Community Recovery Center. The hours for this role will be: (Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - One 12:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. shift per week)
Qualifications:
NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification (including CASAC-T certification) or;
NYS licensed QHP: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC with one year experience working with individuals with substance use disorders
Knowledge Required:
• Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders
• Knowledge of the DSM - 5 and the ability to substantiate criteria and provide basis for SUD diagnosis.
• Knowledge of Professional Standards/ Canon of Ethics and OASAS 822 regulations
• Knowledge of case management including availability of resources and referral processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintaining a caseload - Facilitating individual sessions and group sessions
Intake screenings and clinical assessments
Providing treatment recommendations
Assisting patients with treatment planning
Crisis Intervention
Providing case management, linkage and referrals as appropriate
You will report to the Clinical Supervisor. ***You must have a CASAC-T, CASAC, LMSW, LCSW or other QHP certifications or licenses. ***
