Medical Assistant Dermatology

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dermatology Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting. This position involves assisting dermatologists with various procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the clinic. The Dermatology Assistant will also be responsible for preparing patients for examinations and treatments, as well as managing medical records and equipment.

Responsibilities
- Assist dermatologists during examinations and minor surgical procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Conduct patient intake, including obtaining medical history and vital signs.
- Provide education to patients regarding skin care, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage follow-up visits for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and managing inventory of medical supplies.

Experience
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dermatological procedures or terminology is a plus.
- Experience in patient care within various medical fields such as emergency medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, or hospital medicine is advantageous.
- Knowledge of X-Ray procedures or experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is beneficial but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
